I have been in private practice for over 40 years, specializing in LGBT (lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender) issues. I currently focus on gender identity issues and assist my transgender clients with navigating their often challenging journeys. As an “out” lesbian practitioner, I strive to help my LGBT clients travel from (in many cases), shame, to pride. Much of our work, centers on self- esteem and the ways in which homophobia and transphobia impact so many areas of our lives-including family, career, and our intimate relationships. My style is interactive and I highly value your confidentiality.

NOTE: Dr. Zeiger has officially retired from the University of Maryland as a Senior Lecturer after fifty years, first as an undergrad student through her doctorate degree. Dr. Zeiger stayed on as a professor and currently as a senior lecturer of LGBT Studies.

Although Dr. Zeiger has retired from the University of Maryland, she will continue her private practice, seeing patients in a safe space. She is looking forward to this new chapter of having more time for family, friends, and the practice that she loves.
